Overview

On the eve of the War of Resistance, Shanghai judge Xu Dingshan is assassinated for sentencing a Japanese officer in a brutal crime. His daughter, Xu Man, protests but is attacked by thugs, only to be rescued by university student Jin Hao, forging a fateful connection between them.
