He started his career early in local community theatre and commercials before securing notable roles in the mid-2000s, including the main cast of the sci-fi series Surface (2005-2006) and a recurring role on Unfabulous. His early film work includes the lead role of Tom Pearson in the family sci-fi comedy Aliens in the Attic (2009) and the romantic comedy ensemble Valentine's Day (2010). He possesses a knack for inhabiting complex, often charming, roles that frequently carry underlying dramatic weight.
