Naomi Smith is Chief Executive of Best for Britain and founder of tactical voting platform GetVoting.org. Recently named among the 100 most influential women in Westminster, Naomi is a seasoned political commentator and analyst who uses regular up to date MRP polling to gain constituency level insights on what voters are thinking. She is also the former host of Podcast Oh God What Now, and current host of the political podcast Quiet Riot. In 2010 she stood as the Liberal Democrats (UK) parliamentary candidate in the 2010 general election (UK) in Cities of London and Westminster (UK Parliament constituency). Smith was chair of the Social Liberal Forum[6] until 2016, having originally been elected co-chair in 2012. Naomi joined Best for Britain in 2018 as Chief Operating Officer and became Chief Executive in June 2019.[8] She was previously Executive Director, Campaigns at London First.[9] At London First, she led policy work and campaigns on housing, skills, immigration, Crossrail and Brexit, in particular campaigning for the Remain position in the 2016 EU Referendum. Before that Naomi spent 15 years working in policy research, finance and accounting in the corporate sector, including working for CIMA and for HSBC in Shanghai. In 2015 she was nominated as one of the top 35 talents under 35 by Financial Director magazine. She is one of the co-authors of the Global Management Accounting Principles© launched by Chartered Institute of Management Accountants in 2014.
