Biography

Hatem Salah AlDeen is an Egyptian director and actor. He began his artistic career in 2000, working in the production of cassette tapes and audio content. Shortly after, he transitioned into music video direction using cinematic shooting techniques, collaborating with artists such as Jawad Al Ali. In 2003, Hatem made his television drama debut as an assistant director on the series "Ahwal", produced by Dubai TV, marking the beginning of his journey in the world of scripted content. His work has earned recognition in multiple festivals, most notably receiving the Best Editor Award at the Middle East International Film Festival (Abu Dhabi, 2009) for the film "Hotel in the City". Prior to his full-time career in media, Hatem was a university professor specialized in music education. Over the years, he has contributed to more than 40 dramatic and cinematic productions, taking on roles as a director, actor, screenwriter, and editor. He founded Layalina Film Production in the United Arab Emirates, through which he served as executive producer for numerous public awareness campaigns and promotional videos for Dubai Police and Umm Al Quwain Police, in addition to contributing to Gulf drama productions. Later, he expanded the company's activity in Egypt, producing several independent works - most notably the 2025 psychological thriller series "Taweezat Rashida", in which he served as director, writer, and lead actor.
