Biography

Jeff Van Camp Sr. is a retired American professional wrestler and police officer. He became known in the 1980s for his appearances in the World Wrestling Association (WWA) and Southeast Championship Wrestling (SECW), where he portrayed the character Lord Humongous. During his wrestling career, he won titles and engaged in major rivalries, but retired in 1985. In addition, Van Camp had a distinguished career in law enforcement, starting in Pensacola and later becoming a deputy sheriff in Escambia. He played a key role in creating the Wanted Fugitives program and helped pass the Florida Crime Stoppers Act in 1998. He retired in 2012 after working with the Ocean Ridge Police Department. In his personal life, Van Camp has two sons, Jeff and Brandon, who were collegiate football players. In 2007, he unsuccessfully ran for sheriff of Santa Rosa County. In 2020, he was inducted into the Wiregrass Wrestling Alliance Hall of Fame.
