Robert Alonzo is a Filipino-American stunt coordinator, fight choreographer, and second-unit director. Born in Manila, Philippines, and raised in the United States, Alonzo developed an early passion for martial arts and filmmaking, leading to a dynamic and multifaceted career. He trained under Grandmaster Jun Chong and holds black belts in Tae Kwon Do and Hapkido. Academically, he earned a degree in Studio Arts and Communication Studies from Loyola Marymount University, with additional minors in Animation and Business Marketing. Over nearly three decades, Alonzo has built a résumé of more than 200 credits across film, television, commercials, and music videos. His expertise has made him a trusted collaborator for stars such as Tom Cruise, Dwayne Johnson, Mark Wahlberg, Jeremy Renner, and Jake Gyllenhaal. His second-unit directing credits include major studio productions like Oblivion, Tomorrowland, Deadpool, Bright, Alpha, and The Batman.
