Biography

While working at a bar in Beverly Hills he received advice from veteran movie star Sylvester Stallone, "Create your own opportunities". That stuck with him. While working as an assistant on the Twentieth Century Fox lot, Arevalo met director Robert Rodriguez whom he struck up a friendship with, who then offered him the unforgettable role of the Opponent, the guy with the broken leg in the 1995 blockbuster film Desperado starring Antonio Banderas and Salma Hayek.
